Who I love to work with

My ideal clients are generally ‘second time around’ couples. They are looking for a wedding with a difference. You are generally a more mature couple maybe in your 40’s/50’s. You want an intimate wedding with all the special people there rather than the more traditional big thing. You want to personalise and customise. It’s got to be fun and relaxed, upbeat and inclusive and elegant. The themes of vibrant, happy and memorable are important factors in your ultimate wedding day. You want someone who ‘gets’ you from the start. Someone who you can totally trust to confidently deliver the main event so you can focus on one another.

Choosing to work with me as your dedicated bespoke celebrant will allow us to work closely together. We can tailor-make your ceremony to fit your specific requirements. You can add in whatever is most meaningful to you. Your ceremony will be memorable for all the right reasons.

Some Considerations for your ceremony

If you attend church or religious place of worship a regular basis, you would probably prefer your ceremony to be led by a religious person, that’s fine.
You won’t require my services.
If however, you don’t go to church often but still wish to have hymns and prayers along with other stuff, I have no problem including them in your ceremony.

Spiritual Aspects

There are, however, a growing number of people no longer follow a religious faith, These people prefer a non-religious ceremony. Some couples have different backgrounds that are culturally or religiously diverse so instead, choose to a celebrant lead ceremony to include everyone.

Weddings in Alternative Spaces

Some people simply cannot have a ceremony in traditional wedding venues. For this reason, a celebrant can offer the perfect solution, particularly to same sex couples. They may have previously been too restricted with choice. Now my same-sex couples can have the opportunity to create a really personalised experience. Often licensed premises can be costly and add to your budget. With a celebrant led wedding, we can perform your ceremony in alternative spaces often costing a lot less to hire. We can also conduct ceremonies in outdoor spaces (weather permitted and permission granted to use by the land or venue owner).

Using a Registrar – Legally Bound, Set Words, no personalisation

Registrars can perform non-religious ceremonies. They are however are governed by regulations about where the ceremony can be held and the words that the ceremony must contain. they have to conduct ceremonies in council premises or licensed venues. They can legally marry you by conducting the set legal script.
Some people are ok with this, and that’s fine. But if you want an unusual venue (or an outdoor one), then a registrar cannot conduct ceremonies outdoors. Maybe you want particular words in your ceremony? If so, a registrar will not be the best choice as they cannot do that for you, unlike a celebrant.

Tailormade, ‘one off’ wedding ceremony celebrant in Leicestershire – Distinctive and Flexible

A registrar is limited to perform a marriage in a licensed premise or registry office. A celebrant can conduct wedding ceremonies almost anywhere you choose. They can be indoors or outdoors, often at any time too.
Above all, a professional celebrant can help you to plan and create a customised ceremony. One that reflects exactly what you want. We bring your personality into the day. The ceremony can include any special words, readings or music, individually crafted vows to completely personalise the day. Your ceremony can also involve other people, such as children and other family members. Your event will be a unique as you.

Celebrant-conducted civil partnership/wedding ceremonies can also include rituals and spiritual aspects if you wish. These can include rose ceremony, sand ceremony, unity candle or handfasting, to make the ceremony even more memorable.
